# Self-hosting

LiveDemo is open source under the MIT license. Run it on your own servers to keep every demo, recording and lead in your infrastructure.

## Quick start

The [livedemo-deploy](https://github.com/exploitx3/livedemo-deploy) repository runs the full stack with Docker Compose. Follow its README for requirements, environment variables and the first start.

## Free vs Business

| | Free self-hosting | Business plan |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Price | Free, on every plan | Custom, from 10 creators |
| Who runs it | You | You or LiveDemo |
| Whitelabel | No | Paid add-on |
| Custom domain | You set it up | Included |
| Support | Community (GitHub) | Dedicated |

## When to self-host

- Your security team doesn't allow customer data in third-party tools.
- You need data in a specific region or on-premises.
- You demo internal tools that can't leave your network.

Otherwise the hosted app at [app.livedemo.ai](https://app.livedemo.ai) is the fastest way to start. See [Security & privacy](https://livedemo.ai/docs/account/security-and-privacy/).
