# Knowledge

The agent answers **only** from the knowledge you add in **AI Demo Agent → Knowledge → Add source**.

## Website crawling

**Whole website** reads your `sitemap.xml`. If there isn't one, it follows links on the same domain, breadth first.

- Pages are rendered in a real browser, so JavaScript sites (React, Next.js, Webflow and others) work.
- Menus, headers, footers, cookie banners and pop-ups are skipped. Headings, lists, **tables** and **image alt text** are kept.
- Every page is stored separately, with its title and URL.
- **Max pages**: 1–100 (default 25).
- **Re-read every N hours** (default 24, 0 = never). Unchanged pages are skipped, so a re-crawl only re-processes pages that changed.

**Single page URL** uses the same browser rendering and also re-reads on a schedule.

### Get the best results from your pages

- Put important facts in text, not only in images or videos. Give images descriptive alt text.
- Use real `<table>` elements for pricing and feature comparisons.
- Content behind a login, or loaded only after a click, can't be read. Add it as text or an FAQ instead.
- Keep a `sitemap.xml` up to date to control exactly which pages are read.

## See what the agent reads

Click the 👁 icon on a ready source to open the **extraction preview**. It shows each page's title, URL, character count and the exact text the agent uses.

Pages with almost no text get a warning. That usually means a login wall, a page drawn as images, or content that loads on click.

## Sales call transcripts

Paste transcripts from Gong, Chorus, Zoom or any recorder. The agent borrows your team's phrasing, examples and objection handling. It **never quotes** a transcript, never names the customers or people in it, and never reveals another customer's details.

## Knowledge gaps

**Knowledge → Knowledge gaps** collects the questions visitors asked that the agent could not answer (from the last 7, 30 or 90 days) and groups them by topic, most frequent first.

Click **Add FAQ** on a topic. LiveDemo drafts an answer from your existing knowledge and marks anything it couldn't find as `[fill in: …]`. Review it, edit it and save it as an FAQ source. The agent uses it from the next question on.
