# Transitions

A transition is the click that takes the viewer from one screen to the next. Captured demos get one automatically where you clicked. Add or change them by hand when you build a demo from uploads or move screens around.

## Add a transition

1. Open the screen's menu and click **Transitions** (**Transition** on HTML screens).
2. Click **Add pointer click** or **Add hotspot**. On video screens, click **+**.
3. Drag it onto the element viewers should click.
4. Edit its text. Hotspot transitions start with "Click here".

## Remove a transition

Click its trash icon and confirm.

## Steps or transitions?

- **Steps** explain something on the current screen.
- **Transitions** move the viewer on to the next screen.
