# Variables

Show "Welcome, Acme" to Acme and "Welcome, Globex" to Globex, from one demo. Available on paid plans.

## Create a variable

1. Open **Custom → Variables**.
2. Enter a **Name**, such as `company`, and a **Default Value**, such as "your team".
3. Click **Add**.

## Use it

Type `{{ company }}` in any step text, popup title or popup description. In the editor and for anyone without a custom value, viewers see the **Default Value**.

## Give each viewer their own value

Create a [custom link](https://livedemo.ai/docs/share/custom-links/) per prospect or campaign and set the values there.

## Tips

- Pick a default that reads well in a sentence: "Built for your team", not "Built for COMPANY".
- Use variables where the name matters most: the first popup and the final call to action.
- To change a whole screen per prospect (logos, numbers), edit an [HTML demo](https://livedemo.ai/docs/edit-a-livedemo/edit-html-content/) and copy it per account.
