# Install the desktop app

Use the desktop app to record what the Chrome extension can't reach: desktop software, native apps, terminals or several windows at once.

## Download

| Platform | Download |
| --- | --- |
| **Mac** | [LiveDemo.dmg](https://livedemo-cdn.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/releases/LiveDemo.dmg) |
| **Windows** | [Microsoft Store](https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9mvvcb7t7sll) |

On Mac, open the `.dmg` and drag LiveDemo into **Applications**. On Windows, click **Get** in the Microsoft Store.

1. Open the desktop app and start the sign-in.
2. Your browser opens the LiveDemo web app. Log in if asked.
3. On the **Open the Desktop App** page, click **Open Desktop App**. You're signed in to your current workspace.

## Record

The desktop app records your screen, with optional camera and microphone. Grant screen recording, camera and microphone permissions when your operating system asks. On Mac, recording system audio needs macOS 13 or later.
