# How Do Jira and Confluence Work Together

> To connect Jira and Confluence, create a Confluence page, use the Jira Issues Macro to insert issues or filters, create a new Jira issue, fill in details, and click create. Confluence then provides real-time Jira updates, and a notification appears when the issue is viewable in Jira.
