# How to Add a Subtask in Smartsheet

## Steps

1. Inside Smartsheet's Grid View, find the row that contains the main task and then click its corresponding 'Row Menu' button.
2. Choose 'Insert Below' from the list of options.
3. After that, enter the necessary task details one by one.
4. Select the newly added row once again.
5. Subsequently, go to the top menu bar and click 'Indent'.
6. After completing these steps, the subtask will be added instantly.
