# How to Add a User to Wordpress

> To add a user to WordPress, click Users in the left-hand menu, select Add a team member, fill out the user information, and enter their email or username. Next, optionally add an invitation message, and click Send invitation. The new user will appear in the Users list and receive login credentials by email.

## Steps

1. In the left-hand menu, click on Users .
2. Click on Add a team member under the Users menu.
3. Fill out user information accordingly.
4. Enter the user’s email address or username.
5. You can add a message which will be sent along the invitation.
6. Click Send invitation button to add the user account.
7. The new user should now appear in the Users list. They will also receive an email with their login credentials.
