# How to Add Alt Text to Images in Buffer

> To add alt text to images in Buffer, choose a social media account under the Channels tab and click New Post. Upload an image, hover over it, and click Alt. Enter a descriptive text, click Save, then choose a scheduling option like Share Now, Share Next, or Schedule Post to publish.

## Steps

1. Click on the “Channels” tab and choose a social media account.
2. Click on "New Post."
3. Click the image icon or drag and drop an image into the post editor.
4. Hover over the image and click "Alt."
5. Enter a brief, descriptive text for accessibility, then click "Save."
6. Click the dropdown arrow next to "Add to Queue" to reveal additional scheduling options.
