# HubSpot - How to add birthday field

> To add a birthday field, go to Settings in HubSpot, navigate to Properties, and select Contact properties. Click Create property, enter the object type, group, and label as Birthday, choose Date Picker as the field type, keep allowed dates as Any date, and click Create.

## Steps

1. Go to Settings
2. Navigate to the Properties section on the sidebar
3. Select Contact properties from the dropdown menu under Select an object.
4. Click Create property.
5. Fill in the details: Object type: Contact Group: Contact information Label: Birthday
6. Select Date Picke r as the field type.
7. Keep the dates allowed as Any date.
8. Click Create to save the new property.
9. You will get a success prompt saying "Birthday was created"
