# How to add submenu in wordpress

> To add a submenu in WordPress, navigate to Appearance and select your menu under Menus. Check the desired subitem in the Add menu items area, click Add to Menu, and drag the subitem under the primary item. Finally, click the Save Menu button to apply your changes.

## Steps

1. Go to your Wordpress dashboard, then navigate to Appearance.
2. Under Menus , select from the dropdown list the menu that you want to edit.
3. From the Add menu items area, check the subitem and click on Add to Menu .
4. After adding it, choose the subitem and drag it under the primary item.
5. When everything is ready, click on the Save Menu button.
