# How to add tags in airtable

> To add tags in Airtable, click the plus icon to add a new column, choose the URL field type, select the create field button, and then start adding your tags in this newly created column.

## Steps

1. Click on the '+' icon to add a new column
2. Since tags have to be in the URL format, we are going to choose the field type as 'URL'
3. Select the 'Create field' button to create field
4. Now you can start adding the tags in this column
