# How to Add Weight in SurveyMonkey

> To add weight in SurveyMonkey, navigate to the Design Survey tab, edit a question, and enable Use weights. Assign numeric values to each answer choice in the provided boxes, click SAVE to apply the changes, and take a test response in Preview survey to verify.

## Steps

1. Go to the 'Design Survey' tab and select an existing question. Click 'Edit'.
2. In the question editor, click on the 'Use weights' option.
3. Next to each answer choice, you will see a box where you can assign a numeric value. Enter the desired weight for each answer.
4. Once you’ve assigned weights, click 'SAVE' to apply the changes.
5. Click 'Preview survey' and take a test response to verify the weighting.
