# Slack - Archiving a channel

> To archive a channel in Slack, open the desired channel, click its name in the conversation header, select Settings, choose to archive the channel for everyone, and confirm your action.

1. Open the channel you'd like to archive
2. Click on the channel name in the conversation header.
3. Click on 'Settings'
4. Choose 'Archive channel for everyone'
