# How to Cancel Descript Subscription

> To cancel your Descript subscription, click your profile icon to open Settings, navigate to the Subscription tab, and select Change Plan. Next, find the Free Plan section and click Downgrade to Free. Finally, complete or skip the optional survey and click Complete Cancellation to finish the process.

## Steps

1. Click your profile icon in the top-left corner and choose Settings .
2. Go to the Subscription tab.
3. Select Change Plan .
4. Look for the Free Plan section, then click Downgrade to Free .
5. A brief, optional survey will appear asking why you're downgrading. Click Complete Cancellation to finalize the process.
