# How to Cancel Descript

> To cancel your subscription in Descript, click your profile icon and select Settings, go to the Subscription tab under Account Settings, and click Change plan. Next, select Downgrade to Free under the Free plan, optionally complete the survey, and click Complete cancelation to finish the process.

## Steps

1. Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner of the screen, and select Settings .
2. In the Account Settings page, go to the Subscription tab.
3. Click Change plan.
4. Under the Free plan, select Downgrade to Free.
5. You will see a short, optional, one-question survey asking why you are downgrading. Click Complete cancelation to finish canceling your plan.
