# How to Change Active Sprint in Jira

> To change an active sprint in Jira, navigate to your project's Backlog view, click the ellipsis icon on the active sprint board, and select Edit sprint. Next, update the sprint name, start date, or end date as needed, and click Update to save your changes.

## Steps

1. Navigate to your desired project.
2. Navigate to the 'Backlog' view in your Jira project.
3. Click on the ellipsis icon at the top-right of the active sprint board.
4. Select 'Edit sprint'.
5. You can change the Sprint name of your ongoing sprint.
6. You can change the ongoing sprint's start and end date.
7. Click 'Update' to save changes.
