# How to Change Dropbox Link Name

## Steps

1. Go to the Dropbox website and sign in to your account.
2. Find the file or folder for which you want to change the link name.
3. Click on the "Share" button next to the file or folder.
4. Click "Create link" if a link doesn’t already exist.
5. Right-click on the file or folder, select "Rename," and enter the new name.
6. If you want the link to reflect a different name, consider renaming the file or folder itself.

8. Currently, Dropbox does not allow direct editing of the link text or custom aliases for shared links, so creating a new link after renaming the file is the best approach.
