# How to change name on notion

> To change your name in Notion, go to Settings & members from the left sidebar, select My account under Account, and type your new name under Preferred name. Use @mention to verify the update.

## Steps

1. Go to the Settings & members option from your left sidebar menu.
2. Under Account go to My account .
3. Under Preferred name, simply type your new name of choice.
4. That's it, you've updated your name on notion.
5. You may use @mention to see your new name updated in use.
