# How to change notion background color

> To change block background colors in Notion, hover over the block to click the 6 dotted handle for options, navigate to Color, and scroll down to select a background color under Background to apply it to your entire selected block.

## Steps

1. Hover over the block whose background color you wish to change to see the 6 dotted handle appear; click for more options.
2. Go to Color .
3. Scroll down to select a background color under Background .
4. Your entire selected block will now have a background color applied.
