# Salesforce - How to Change Opportunity Owner in Salesforce

> To change an opportunity owner in Salesforce, navigate to the Opportunities tab and open the desired record. Locate the Opportunity Owner field in the details section, select a new owner from the dropdown menu, and optionally check the notification email box. Finally, click Change Owner to complete the transfer.

## Steps

1. Go to the Opportunities tab.
2. Locate the specific opportunity you want to modify.
3. Look for the Opportunity Owner field in the details section.
4. Click the dropdown arrow next to the current owner's name and select who you want to assign.
5. A checkbox for Send Notification Email might be available.
6. Click on Change Owner to finalize the transfer of ownership.
