# How To Change The Owner Of A Confluence Page

> To transfer a page in Confluence, navigate to the target page, click the author's name beneath the title, and select the change owner icon. Next, search for and choose the new owner's name, then click "Change owner" to complete the reassignment.

## Steps

1. Go to the page you want to transfer.
2. Click the author's name labeled "By ___ (owner's name)" found just below the page title.
3. Click the left and right arrow icon (Change Owner) to switch the page owner.
4. Search and select the new owner’s name.
5. Click "Change owner" to reassign ownership.
