# How to close the issue in jira

## Steps

1. To close a request in Jira Service Management, go to Queues from your service project
2. Select the Status field in the issue you want to close.
3. Mark as Done (Resolved)
4. Provide resolution details. Like: Done, or won't do, etc. Also, provide the Linked Issues parameter and specify the linked issue.
5. Add comments for your team or the customer. Hit Mark as done .
6. Your issue is now closed.
