# How to code in notion

> To code in Notion, hover over your desired position and click the Add icon. Scroll down to Code to insert a block, then select your language syntax highlighting from the top left menu. Use the top right dotted menu to wrap code and enter your code to share and copy.

## Steps

1. Hover over the position you wish to enter code and click on the Add (+) icon that appears.
2. Scroll down to Code .
3. You have now inserted a code block! Click on the top left menu to select the appropriate language syntax highlighting.
4. Search or select the language from the list.
5. Use the top right dotted menu for more options.
6. One such useful option is Wrap code to avoid scrolling sideways when lines get too long.
7. Enter your code to be seen, shared, copied and appreciated.
