# How to Create a Cohort in Amplitude

> To create a cohort in Amplitude, click Create in the top-left corner and choose Cohort. Select your creation method, set your cohort definition by adding conditions and configuring event parameters, add more criteria if needed, and click Save in the top-right corner.

## Steps

1. Go to the top-left corner, then click 'Create'.
2. Choose 'Cohort' from the list of options.
3. After that, choose your preferred creation method. In this regard, you may start from scratch, upload a CSV file, or select a pre-designed cohort template.
4. Set your cohort definition. To get started, click 'Select Condition' and choose one from the given options.
5. Subsequently, configure the event parameters based on your preferences. One by one, provide all the necessary information to set up your cohort properly.
6. If necessary, tap 'Add' if you need to set up additional cohorts, event, user property, new user, or propensity.
7. Finally, tap 'Save' at the top-right corner to run your inout and create the cohort.
