# How to create a folder in notion

> To create a folder in Notion, select New page to create a page acting as a folder and name it. Next, use the slash command /page to embed and name a sub-page, continue looping to create additional sub-pages, and view your folders directory on the left sidebar menu.

## Steps

1. Since every page acts as a folder. To create a new folder, select New page .
2. Name your page / folder.
3. You can now create additional pages as subfolders inside your new page. To do so, simply use the slash command ( /page ) to embed a sub-page.
4. Name your sub-page.
5. You can continue to loop and create an additional sub-page of your sub-page just like folders.
6. You can view your folders directory on your left sidebar menu.
