# How to Create Tooltip in Power BI

> To create a tooltip in Power BI, select the button on your page, click the Format button, and select Action. Turn the Tooltip option ON, set the Format style and field, and click OK. Now, the custom tooltip will appear when you hover over the button.

## Steps

1. Go to the page where you want to create a tooltip and click the button.
2. With the button selected, click the 'Format button'.
3. Click 'Action'.
4. Look for the 'Tooltip' option and turn it 'ON'.
5. Set the 'Format style' and field.
6. Once done, click 'OK'.
7. Now, when you hover over the button, the custom tooltip will appear.
