# How to Create an API key in Brevo

> To create an API key in Brevo, log in and select SMTP & API from the top-right dashboard menu. Go to the API Keys tab, click Generate a new API key, enter a descriptive name, and click Generate. Finally, copy your new API key immediately from the screen.

## Steps

1. Log into your Brevo account and click the top-right corner of the dashboard.
2. Select "SMTP & API" from the dropdown menu to access integration options.
3. Go to the "API Keys" tab where you'll manage your access credentials.
4. Click the "Generate a new API key" button to start generating your unique API access key.
5. Give your API key a descriptive name (like "Website Integration" or "CRM Connection") then click "Generate."
6. Your new API key will appear on screen – copy it immediately!
