# How to Create Custom Measure in Power BI

> To create a custom measure in Power BI, open the Table view, select New Measure, and enter your DAX formula in the field. Next, click the check icon to apply the expression and press Enter. Your new measure will then appear in the Data pane with a calculator icon.

## Steps

1. Once you have your data loaded, click on the 'Table view'.
2. Select 'New Measure'.
3. Write your DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) formula in the empty field.
4. Click on the check icon to apply and commit the expression.
5. Press 'Enter' and your measure is ready.
6. Measures will appear in the 'Data' pane with a calculator icon next to them.
