# How to Create Groups in Power BI

> To create groups in Power BI, open your report in Table view, go to Column tools, and select Data groups. Click New data groups, name your group, select the desired value, and click Group. Finally, click OK to automatically generate your new group field.

## Steps

1. Open your report and go to the 'Table' view.
2. Under the 'Column tools', select the 'Data groups'.
3. Click 'New data groups' to create a new group.
4. Provide a name for your new group.
5. Select the value and click 'Group'.
