# How to create jira ticket from slack

## Steps

1. Log in to your Slack account and go to "Apps."
2. Select "Manage" and click "Browse apps."
3. Search for "Jira" and select "Add" on "Jira Cloud."
4. Click "Add to Slack" to proceed.
5. Select "Allow" to grant access.
6. Your slack email may be different from your Atlassian email. Click "proceed" to continue.
7. Select "Go to Slack" to be redirected.
8. Type in "/jira create" to create a ticket then hit "Enter."
9. Select a project and issue type by clicking the dropdown.
10. Customize the fields accordingly, such as summary, description, assignee, etc.
11. Once done, click "Submit." The app will send a confirmation message in Slack, and the ticket will be created in Jira.
