# How to create labels in jira

## Steps

1. Create a new item on your queue.
2. Or open an existing issue you wish to label.
3. Provide relevant information like Summary, Issue Type etc. to your issue.
4. You will find the Labels within this section. You can select existing Labels or type in the box to create new ones.
5. Hit Create to save your Issue.
