# How to Download Backlog from Jira to Excel

> To download your backlog in Jira, go to the Backlog view, click the ellipsis icon, and select Configure board. Next, click Edit filter query, search for backlog, and filter by the Backlog status. Finally, click Export issues and select Export Excel CSV to generate and download your CSV file.

## Steps

1. Go to the 'Backlog' view of your Project.
2. Click the ellipsis icon.
3. Select 'Configure board'.
4. Select 'Edit filter query'.
5. Search for backlog in the search bar.
6. Select the 'Status' column.
7. Select 'Backlog'.
8. Click 'Export issues'.
9. Select 'Export Excel CSV (my defaults)' and Jira will generate a CSV file that you can download.
