# How to Flag an Issue in Jira

> To flag an issue in Jira, navigate to your project, click the issue to open its details, select the ellipsis icon, and choose Add flag to highlight the issue on the board.

## Steps

1. Navigate to the Jira project where the issue is located.
2. Click on the issue you want to flag to open its details.
3. In the issue details view, click on the ellipsis icon, usually found at the top right corner or in the issue's toolbar.
4. Select 'Add flag'.
5. Flagged issues are usually highlighted with a red flag on the board, making them easy to identify.
