# How to Freeze the Panes in Smartsheet

> To freeze panes in Smartsheet, select a column in Grid View, tap the Column Menu button, and pick Freeze Column to freeze the pane on the left side of the selected column.

## Steps

1. Inside Smartsheet's Grid View, select a column.
2. After that, tap its corresponding 'Column Menu' button.
3. Pick 'Freeze Column' from the list of options.
4. After completing these steps, the pane on the left side of the selected column will be frozen.
