# How to get sendgrid api key

> To generate an API key in SendGrid, select Settings from the left sidebar and click on API Keys. Next, click Create API Key in the top right, choose the desired access type, and enter a key name. Finally, click Create and View to generate your API key.

## Steps

1. Select Settings from the left sidebar.
2. You will find API Keys . click on it.
3. Click on Create API Key on the top right.
4. Choose from the type of access the key should have.
5. Give a key name and hit Create & View .
6. You API key is generated.
