# How to Import Data into Insightly

> To import data into Insightly, start with the Contacts module, click the Import Contacts and Notes link, and select Import Contacts from a CSV File. Browse and select your CSV file, click Next, review your data formatting, check your preferences and field mappings, and click Start This Import to process your contact database.
