# How to Leave a Shared Dropbox Folder

> To exit a shared folder on Dropbox, log in to dropbox.com, hover over the folder and click the ellipsis, select Manage permissions, click the dropdown next to your name, choose Remove my access, and confirm your choice by clicking the Remove my access button.

## Steps

1. Log in to dropbox.com .
2. Hover over the name of the folder you'd like to permanently leave and click the "..." (ellipsis).
3. Click Manage permissions .
4. Click the dropdown next to your name .
5. Click Remove my access .
6. Confirm by clicking the Remove my access button.
