# How to Lock Cells in Smartsheet

> To lock cells in Smartsheet, open Grid View and tap the desired column header. Click the Column Menu button, then select Lock Column from the options list. This locks the selected column and the cells underneath it.

## Steps

1. Inside Smartsheet's Grid View, find the cells you wish to lock and then tap the column header above them.
2. After that, click its corresponding 'Column Menu' button.
3. Pick 'Lock Column' from the list of options.
4. After completing these steps, the selected column will be locked, along with the cells under it.
