# How to make a private slack channel public?

> To make a private channel public in Slack, click the desired channel, select the channel name in the conversation header, choose the Settings tab, and then select Change to public channel while re-confirming the disclaimer.

## Steps

1. Click on the channel you wish to make public
2. Click on the channel name located in the conversation header
3. Choose the 'Settings' tab
4. Select 'Change to public channel' & Re-Confirm Disclaimer-Only workspace owners can change the channel it to public
