# Salesforce - Merge Duplicate Accounts

> To merge duplicate accounts in Salesforce Classic, switch from your profile icon, open Accounts from the menu bar, and select Merge Accounts under Tools. Search for the duplicates, check the boxes in the search results, click Next, review the account details, and hit the Merge button.

## Steps

1. Head over to the profile icon on the top right.
2. And click on Switch to Salesforce Classic.
3. Find Accounts in the menu bar on top.
4. Find Merge Accounts under the Tools column.
5. Search for the duplicate accounts you want to merge and click on the Find Accounts button.
6. You see the duplicated accounts appear in the search results. Make sure the checkboxes next to both the duplicate accounts are checked.
7. Hit Next.
8. You will see the account details of both the duplicate accounts you selected.
9. Finally, hit the Merge button to merge both duplicate accounts.
