# How to Record a Video on Zoom

> To capture video content, start a meeting on the Zoom dashboard, click Record, select Share and the Advanced tab, choose Video File, pick your file, play the video, and finally tap Pause or Stop Recording.

## Steps

1. On Zoom's main dashboard, click 'New Meeting' to get started.
2. Following that, navigate to the menu bar and click 'Record'.
3. Tap 'Share' afterwards.
4. Next, click the 'Advanced' tab.
5. Choose 'Video File' and then click 'Share'. After that, select the video file you want to record.
6. Play the video and watch it while Zoom is recording your screen. Once done, tap 'Pause/Stop Recording'.
