# How to Record the Purchase of Equipment in Xero

> To record the purchase of equipment in Xero, navigate to the Journal Report via Accounting, select Go To Manual Journals, open your chosen journal, and click Edit under Journal Options. ## Steps

1. On Xero's main dashboard, go to the top menu bar and click 'Accounting'.
2. Choose 'Journal Report' from the list of options.
3. After that, click 'Go To Manual Journals'.
4. Find and open the journal you wish to use for recording the purchase of equipment.
5. Subsequently, click the 'Journal Options' button in the top-right corner.
6. Tap 'Edit' to proceed.
