# Removing Sitemaps

> To remove sitemaps in Google, select your website from the drop-down menu and choose Sitemaps from the sidebar. Under Submitted sitemaps, click the sitemap you wish to remove, click the three vertical dots, and select Remove sitemap.

## Steps

1. Select your website from the drop-down menu
2. Choose " Sitemaps " from the sidebar
3. Under “ Submitted sitemaps ”, click on the sitemap you wish to remove (irrespective of the status)
4. Click on the 3 vertical dots
5. Click " Remove sitemap "
