# How to Remove Cleaned Contacts from Mailchimp

> To remove cleaned contacts from Mailchimp, go to your Audience and select All contacts. Open the Manage contacts drop-down, select Data management tool, and choose the contacts to delete. Click Permanently Delete, then type PERMANENTLY DELETE in the pop-up modal and click Confirm.

## Steps

1. In your Mailchimp dashboard, click 'Audience' to proceed.
2. Under 'Audience', select 'All contacts'.
3. Click the 'Manage contacts' drop down menu.
4. Scroll until you see 'Data management tool'.
5. Check the box next to each contact you want to delete.
6. Click 'Permanently Delete'.
7. In the Are you sure? pop-up modal, type 'PERMANENTLY DELETE' and click 'Confirm'.
