# Salesforce - how to reset salesforce authenticator

> To reset the Salesforce Authenticator in Salesforce, navigate to Setup, open Users, and select the desired user. Next, click Disconnect on the active authenticator to complete the reset, which changes the option to Connect.

## Steps

1. Go to Setup on the top right.
2. Search for Users in the Quick Find and select it.
3. Select the user whose Authenticator you want to reset.
4. Click ' Disconnect ' on whichever authenticator is active.
5. The ' Disconnect ' option will change to 'Connect' upon successful reset.
