# HubSpot - Segment contacts

> To segment contacts in HubSpot, navigate to CRM lists, create a new list, and select your list type and name. Then, add and configure your desired filters for demographics or lifecycle, use optional AND/OR conditions as needed, and hit save.

## Steps

1. Navigate to CRM in the left pane and select Lists .
2. Click on Create list on the top right .
3. Decide what kind of list you want.
4. Provide a List name and choose between Active or Static list.
5. Click Add filter.
6. Choose how to segment. (demographics, lifecycle, etc)
7. Add more filters (optional) using AND/OR.
8. Hit Save list.
