# How to Show Ruler in Canva

> To display measurement tools in Canva, open an existing design, click 'File' in the top left corner, and select 'Settings' to click 'Show rulers and guides'. Alternatively, press 'Shift+R'. Rulers with pixel dimensions will appear on the top and side, and clicking the option again hides them.

## Steps

1. Open an existing design.
2. Click on 'File' in the top left corner of the screen.
3. Select 'Settings' to view and click 'Show rulers and guides'. You may also press 'Shift+R' and it will automatically show in your Canva.
4. Rulers showing dimensions in pixels will appear on the top and on the side of your design.
5. To hide rulers, you can click the 'Show rulers and guides' again.
