# How to Sort Months in Power BI Visual

> To sort months in Power BI, start on the Home tab by clicking Blank report, uploading data, and clicking Load. Switch to the Table view, go to Column tools, and click Sort by Column. Choose Date from the list, select Sort ascending, and click OK to arrange months in calendar order.

## Steps

1. On your 'Home' tab, click 'Blank report'.
2. Select your preferred source to upload the data.
3. Click 'Load'.
4. Click on the 'Table' view located on the left side of the table.
5. Go to the 'Column tools' tab and click 'Sort by Column'.
6. Select 'Date' from the list.
7. Select 'Sort ascending'.
8. Click 'OK' and now visuals will sort months in the correct calendar order.
