# How to Tell if SurveyMonkey is Anonymous

> To check if a survey is anonymous in SurveyMonkey, open your desired survey, navigate to the Collect Responses section, and click the ellipsis icon for your preferred collector. Select Edit Collector, scroll to the collector settings, click Anonymous responses, and choose On to ensure personal identifiers are not collected.

## Steps

1. Click on your desired survey.
2. Go to the 'Collect Responses' section of your survey.
3. Go to your preferred collector, click the ellipsis icon.
4. Click 'Edit Collector'.
5. Scroll down to the collector settings and click on 'Anonymous responses'.
6. After selecting the 'Anonymous responses', choose 'On'.
7. Now if the setting for 'Anonymous Responses' is turned on, personal identifiers like IP addresses and email addresses will not be collected.
